Your American Dream

free coaching Jan 16, 2018

Welcome to this episode. Today we are going to talk about the American Dream and, more specific, the teachings of Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam is basically the United States. With teachings, I mean the things that I've learned from my mentors and my teachers from the United States. As you may know by now, I'm not U.S. I'm from the Netherlands. I live in the east part of the Netherlands.

I started my business in 1994. I was still working for a boss by then. Within a year later, they fired me. I was on my own and I had to make ends meet and basically had to sell my services. That's what I've been doing, selling my services. The services that I'm selling and the way that I'm selling was taught to me by people from the U.S. and it's part of my mission to also help people from the Netherlands, from Belgium, other European people, and also our other North American people to also make sales.

It's also my mission to help people like you, people who are listening to this podcast or reading the transcription of this podcast, to realise your American Dream.

Each person may have another definition of their American Dream. Also, the American Dream may vary. Maybe if you're just getting started in business, your American Dream is just to make enough money to live by and not be dependent on an employer.

Because that's what I had to do when I started my business in 1994 and I got fired in 1995. All of a sudden, there I was, and dependent on my own skills to make money, to find clients who were willing to pay me, or go back to another employer. I'm very grateful for the employer that I had from 1988 until early 1995 because they enabled me to development myself. They sent me to educational classes. I got trained on sales by IBM computers to sell their home computers, the IBM PS/2 computers and PS/1 computers. I learned the basics of neurolinguistic programming and it basically set me on a path. From there on, I got to know Anthony Robbins, invest in Anthony Robbins' Personal Power tapes way back in 1992. In 1993, I went to Birmingham UK and I walked over the coals, the burning hot coals, with my bare feet, all as a result of my employer investing in me.

It's not fun to be laid off and to be fired, but it's also a way for the universe to tell me that I'm up for the next step. The universe may give you also certain ways, certain signs, that it's time for you to step up and go to your next level. Your next level may be your own business. It may be your American Dream.

What I know is that it's hardly impossible to achieve the American Dream if you do not know how to sell, if you do not know how to market. It's easier to develop your American Dream if you know how to sell, if you know how to market. Even better, if you not only know how to do it for yourself to get clients, but if you help your clients sell their business, and if you help your clients market their business.

Here I have a coaching program that teaches you not only how you can find your client, how you can sell your services, but also how you can help your clients sell their services. We do it with websites, with internet, with social media.

I have some free information for you if you would like to and the free information is available if you send me an email to [email protected] and it's also available via my membership website at tomkoster.mykajabi.com. Well, basically, it's not real free. I only ask for €1. For €1, you can become part of my Welcome membership with a lot of information. I invite you to take a look at that if that suits you.

With this, I end the information session for now.

Wishing you a good day and bye for now.
